a research workbench for one question: what does an oil headline actually do to the market? it keeps an append-only record of sec filings and news, maps companies onto an economic graph, and runs oil scenarios and forecasts that get scored against what really happened. there's even a small crowd of ai agents that simulates how people react to the news. it runs on my laptop, and when it can't back a number up with a source, it doesn't give you one.
